Blizzard just hinted that the next 30 years of Diablo won’t look like the last 30, and that makes a BlizzCon 2026 reveal feel increasingly likely. In today’s roundup, we break down what that could mean for Diablo’s future, plus huge Path of Exile Mirage details, a new Diablo-adjacent contender from ex Blizzard North devs, and some big console-industry shakeups. Diablo topics: We’re reacting to Blizzard’s comments on doing “more Diablo titles” and getting them out faster, and what that implies for BlizzCon 2026. Also: where SHOULD Diablo 4 Expansion 3 take us next: Xiansai, Arreat Crater, Westmarch, or somewhere else? And if Diablo 2 Resurrected ever gets an Act 6... where can it go without stepping on later lore? Diablo-adjacent: Darkhaven has a free Steam demo and a Kickstarter running, from key ex Blizzard North / Diablo 2 devs (Phil Shenk, Peter Hu, Erich Schaeffer). We also talk about their thoughts on D2R’s Reign of the Warlock DLC and the challenges of expanding Diablo 2’s story. Also in this video: Path of Exile 1 Mirage expansion breakdown (league mechanic, new currency, Reliquarian Scion ascendancy, big Atlas/endgame overhaul, mapping changes, QoL, and more). Resident Evil Requiem early critical reception. Grim Dawn’s 10-year anniversary update and what Fangs of Asterkarn is bringing. Sony PC port strategy questions, Xbox leadership fallout, and the latest on Bluepoint and Bloodborne. Sound off: If Blizzard reveals a new Diablo game at BlizzCon 2026, what do you think it is - Diablo 1 remake, Diablo 5, or something completely new?
