How to format a post: BBCode, Markdown, emojis and rune emotes

Posts on this forum understand classic forum BBCode and a small set of Markdown. Use whichever you know. The buttons above the text box insert the codes for you, and Preview shows the result before you post.

Colour names you can use: red, orange, yellow, gold, green, lime, teal, cyan, blue, purple, violet, pink, magenta, brown, white, silver, gray, black.

Example: bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, gold, red, bigger.

Images are shown as a link, not inside the post. That keeps a stranger's image host from seeing who reads the topic. New accounts can post links after their first 3 posts.

Nothing inside a code block is changed, so use one for pickit lines, config snippets and anything where brackets matter.

Three backticks on a line of their own, before and after, do the same. For a short piece inside a sentence, put it between single backticks.

Type a short code between colons, or pick one from the smiley button in the editor.
