Diablo Clone and the Annihilus: how the hunt works

The Diablo Clone tracker shows the progress of every region and bracket. This post explains what the numbers mean.

Players sell Stones of Jordan to vendors. Each sale advances a hidden counter for the bracket the seller is playing in. The game reports the counter as one of six tiers. At tier 6, "Diablo has invaded Sanctuary!", Uber Diablo spawns in the games of that bracket and the counter resets.

In a Hell game, he takes the place of the next super unique monster you reach. Kill him and he drops the Annihilus, a unique small charm. You can carry only one. 💎

Progress is tracked per region (Americas, Europe, Asia), per Ladder or Non-Ladder and per Softcore or Hardcore. Reign of the Warlock has its own set beside Lord of Destruction. That makes 24 independent counters. Selling a Stone of Jordan in Europe Ladder Softcore does nothing for any other bracket.

Blizzard has not published the number and the game never shows a count, only the tier. Community estimates put a full walk at roughly 75 to 125 sales, and the number is believed to differ between brackets. Any site that shows an exact count is estimating.

Type /uberdiablo in the chat while in a game. The reply is the current tier for the bracket of that game: the region, ladder, core and version of the character you are playing.

• Be in a Hell game of the right bracket when tier 6 hits, with a super unique close by that you have not visited yet.
• Bring a way to stop his life regeneration and max your fire and lightning resistance.
• Clear your inventory of a second Annihilus. He does not drop one if you carry one.
