Attack speed for the Rogue and the Desert Mercenary (and the Jab's two hits) by the weapon's speed, hit recovery for the four hirelings and the Iron Wolf's cast, with your mercenary's own values: the frames now, what is spare and what the next step needs.

Gold: the whole swing — how soon the next can start, so it alone sets how many attacks a second. Teal: the frame the hit lands on — rows in teal move only that frame, a step of its own between the frame breakpoints.
Jab is the Desert Mercenary's own attack: one 14-frame sequence from the game's monster tables that hits twice, at its 6th and 10th entries. A monster's sequence takes neither the players' “minus 30” nor the “minus one”. Same weapon speed and skill speed as the attack table.

No mercenary blocks — none of the five hireling rows has a blocking mode and none has a blocking animation in the game files, so faster block rate does nothing for them, shield or not. Patch 2.4 changed nothing here.
