[Main Thread] - Can not create or join games - "character is already in a game"

Hey again everyone,

Judging from this thread, our backend data, and the recent posts, it seems like the stuck system is working at least mostly correctly now. In situations where players are getting stuck online, it should only last 10-15 minutes before the characters are bumped back offline. If you are getting stuck offline with the error message character is already in a game for more than an hour, please feel free to post below, but we don’t currently have enough examples to investigate further.

Please ensure that you have been stuck offline for more than an hour you are posting the following information:

Time/Date your characters became stuck:
Time zone:

If you are regularly becoming stuck, this would be due to improperly exiting the game. Ensure that you log safely out of the game instead of closing the game client completely while still in a game. If you are crashing or having connection issues you should troubleshoot those issues. If the problem persists beyond troubleshooting you should start your own thread or contact support for more help.
