This thread is devolving into an unrelated argument so I’m locking it up. We’ll open a new thread if the problem resurfaces, but are working to try to ensure this happens as infrequently as possible. Final thread update here.

Looks like things are starting to recover after some backend work. We’ll let you know if we have any more updates on the ongoing issues as they come up. Note that with any server downtime/unexpected disconnection, you may experience some progress loss. Unfortunately there is no way for this to be recovered outside of re-farming any lost items, and re aquiring any quest items like the Horadric cube from the place you originally picked them up.
Keep in mind that just because we have this connection drop fixed enough for people to play again, it doesn’t mean we’re stopping work on the issue. There’s ongoing work happening right now which helped some earlier this morning but didn’t do everything we hoped, and we’re working on improving that situation and getting a longer term fix set up.
Again, we really appreciate everybody for being patient while we’ve worked on this situation. We’re going to keep on it to make things more stable as quickly as we can.
