Connection Interrupted issues just started, Game Unplayable
KMFoerster - The Winmtr test is a Windows only program. It can’t be ran on a Switch so checking the connection with it isn’t possible. We are also a bit limited in what can be done with the Switch and troubleshooting. This page covers the basics.
You may also want to try an alternative connection like a hotspot or friend’s wifi. If you find that works, then talking to your ISP would be advised.
Dragynslayer - Thanks for the test results. Looking them over, they look a bit odd but overall no direct reason why the disconnections are happening. Packetloss shows in the middle of the test, but with the lines before and after those areas having the same values, it looks to be more a matter of how that area handles data while still letting it pass through without a problem. If there was a problem and it persisted or got worse later in the test, it would be a definite cause to address.
Strangely the sent total changes when it hits Blizzard’s network in the as57976.net area. There is just a single packet lost though which shouldn’t cause a full disconnect from the game.
My thinking on this is something either with a program or network setting is causing a problem. If you’re wired, you can try connecting directly to the modem to see if that helps.
Alternatively you can try another network entirely such as a hotspot or friend’s wifi. The goal here is to rule out a router or modem issue. Thus if you find doing so helps, checking for settings like Quality of Service(QoS) would be advised. If that setting isn’t found or help when toggled off, talking to the ISP would be next.
If you find the disconnections still continue with another connection, getting a ticket opened would be best so system files can be looked over for possible causes. Please include a summary of what was done too or just mention this post so we don’t repeat steps already tried.
