Uses the power of your mind to pick up items, use objects, and knock back enemies.
Telekinesis is a Sorceress Lightning skill (level 6, no prerequisite) and the prerequisite of Teleport. It reaches out to a selected thing within a fixed range: an item is picked up, a door or chest is opened, a monster takes a small lightning hit with a chance of knockback. The numbers that decide it are the range, 16.67 yards at every level, and the flat 7 mana; the damage, 20–21 at level 20, is a footnote.

The damage comes from the EMin/EMax columns with HitShift 8, so the table's numbers are the damage: the minimum is 1 plus 1 a level and the maximum 2 plus 1 a level (every Lev bracket is 1), so the range is always 1 wide, 20–21 at level 20 and 30–31 at level 30. It reads lvl, so +skills count for the little it is worth.
Everything else is constant and left out of the table. Mana is 7 at every level (mana 7, lvlmana 0, manashift 8). The range is Param1 25 (the table's "Cast Range", also the aurarangecalc), which the Basin prints as 16 2/3 yards, 25 × 2 ÷ 3. The knockback chance is Param2 35 (the table's "% chance to knockback/stun", also calc1): 35% at every level. The row is flagged InTown.
Telekinesis needs a selected target within the range; the Basin's page says a target within the radius must be selected for it to apply. Against a monster it applies the lightning damage, reduced by lightning resistance, see Dealing Elemental Damage, with the 35% chance of Knockback; no attack rating is involved. The Basin's page says the range covers most of the screen except the very top and the corners.
What it can do to the world, by the Basin's list: pick up selected gold, potions, keys, scrolls, arrows and bolts; open, use or break doors, chests, your stash in town and barrels; activate waypoints, shrines, the Arcane Sanctuary's teleport pads and traps such as the Chaos Sanctuary seals and Evil Urns. Portals it can use only from the side you are already on: a Town Portal from town, the Tristram portal from Tristram, and so forth.
Telekinesis has no synergies of its own. Its hard points are a synergy for Energy Shield: each one lowers the mana the shield pays per point of damage by one sixteenth, from 2 mana at 0 points to 0.75 at 20 (the shield's calc reads blvl, so +skills do not count there). Nothing on this page's own lines changes with hard points except the damage, which reads lvl.
A player's hit on another player is cut to 17% of its value (difficultylevels.txt PlayerDamagePercentVSPlayer) before anything else, see Player versus Player. The Basin's page gives no separate rule for Telekinesis against players.
Written from the game's tables (build 3.3.93847) and the cited pages; a per-level table is computed from skills.txt and skilldesc.txt by the same evaluator the skill pages use. A “legacy rule” is a published engine rule no table proves; a “game table” is read from the table named. · Report incorrect data
