As I mentioned before the i5-2500 is on the edge of supported. Are you also on win7 or is the problem also happening in win10 on this CPU?
It’s similar in power to what we have listed as min specs but is a bit older is all. Could you run a hardware monitor while gaming and let us know the CPU and GPU temps when the freeze happens? A free hardware monitor can be found here.
