Audio cuts in and out after launching until I open Windows Sound Settings

That is a pretty unusual issue and it may best be investigated by submitting a ticket (The support button at the top of this page, then contact support button)

Without more information I can only offer general steps like:

Reinstall video and audio drivers
Reinstall the game
Disable any other running programs that are not needed for Windows or the Internet to function.
