Leaps to and attacks target enemy and damages surrounding enemies.
Leap Attack is a Barbarian Combat Skill (level 18, requires Leap; it unlocks Whirlwind). The Barbarian jumps to the target and lands with a single melee strike that knocks back, and in Resurrected the landing also deals a separate area of physical damage around it. Three numbers decide it: the damage bonus, +200% at level 1 and +770% at level 20; the area damage, 10–20 at level 1 and 150–300 at level 20; and the cost, 10 mana a jump.

The damage bonus is skills.txt Param3 (200) plus Param4 (30) a level: +200% at level 1, +770% at level 20, +1,070% at level 30; it reads lvl. Each hard point in Leap adds 10% (Param8, blvl). The Basin's older table starts at +100% with the same 30 a level; the current table wins.
The attack-rating bonus is ToHit 100 plus LevToHit 20 a level: +100% at level 1, +480% at level 20. The Basin's page gives the original game's +50% and 15 a level and marks the current values as Resurrected's.
The area damage is the row's physical brackets: minimum 10, then +4 a level to level 8, +8 to 16, +12 to 22, +16 to 28, +20 past that; maximum 20, then +8, +16, +24, +32, +40 over the same brackets. At level 20 that is 150–300, at level 30 310–620. The radius is a flat 7 sub-tiles, 4.67 yards, at every level. The row's DmgSymPerCalc gives this area damage the same +10% per hard point in Leap that the Basin lists as "+% Physical Damage (Area of Effect only)". Mana is a flat 10; the leap itself moves at 175% speed (Param7) and is airborne for at least 12 frames (Param5).
The jump works like Leap's: over obstacles, monsters, players, mercenaries and pets to a point in range and line of sight, with no stamina cost; missiles normally cannot hit you in the air, melee and radial effects can, and no Chance to Cast of yours fires while airborne, though the Basin notes on-attack, on-striking and on-kill effects do fire from the attack itself. The strike on landing is a normal weapon attack: Chance to Hit is rolled with the bonus above, and a hit deals weapon physical damage with the +% added to your other Enhanced Damage, carries leech, Crushing Blow, Deadly Strike and Open Wounds, and always knocks back an eligible target. In Resurrected the Basin says the jump is made even when the target is already in melee range.
The Basin's page says a successful Leap Attack removes any stun length on the target, so it ends a Stun rather than stacking on it, and that the attack's length depends only on the weapon type: no attack-speed modifier, positive or negative, changes it.
The Basin's page gives the sequence lengths by weapon class (22 frames with two weapons or bare hands, 25 with any one-handed weapon, 27 with a two-handed sword, 28 with any other two-handed weapon) and describes the short-hop trick: aim at your own feet to leap two yards and attack whatever is adjacent.
That line reads blvl. Leap Attack's own damage, attack-rating and area-damage lines read lvl, so +skills from items raise all three. Leap Attack feeds nothing; it is a prerequisite of Whirlwind. A weapon mastery adds its attack rating, damage and critical-hit chance to the strike.
A player's hit on another player is cut to 17% of its value (difficultylevels.txt PlayerDamagePercentVSPlayer) before anything else, see Player versus Player; the Basin's page confirms Leap Attack applies it as expected. The knockback still lands on a hit.
Written from the game's tables (build 3.3.93847) and the cited pages; a per-level table is computed from skills.txt and skilldesc.txt by the same evaluator the skill pages use. A “legacy rule” is a published engine rule no table proves; a “game table” is read from the table named. · Report incorrect data
