When active, aura slowly regenerates the life of you and your party.
Prayer is the Paladin's level 1 Defensive Aura; it has no prerequisite and opens Cleansing. While it is the active aura, you and every ally in its radius are healed a flat amount of life every two seconds, and it is the only Defensive Aura with a mana cost. Two numbers decide it: the heal, 2 life at level 1 and 25 at level 20, and the cost, 1 mana at level 1 and 4.56 at level 20, which is paid twice as often when anyone in range is hurt.

The heal is the row's edmn, built from EMin 2 and the five bracket columns: +1 a level to level 8, +1 to 16, +2 to 22, +2 to 28 and +3 past that. That gives 2 at level 1, 11 at 10, 25 at 20 and 47 at 30. The radius is Param1 16 ("Radius baseline") plus Param2 2 a level ("Radius per level"), times two thirds: 10 2/3 yards at level 1, 1 1/3 yards more a level, 36 yards at 20. The mana line is 1 at level 1 and three sixteenths more a level (lvlmana 3 at manashift 4), 4.56 at level 20 and 6.44 at 30. Every line reads lvl, so +skills from gear count and so does the level of an Aura When Equipped item.
Prayer is an aura with the row's prayer state on the caster and on every ally in range. Its one stat is hitpoints at edns: the heal is added to current life, not to maximum life, and it has no hit check and no damage. The aura ticks on its period (perdelay 50 frames, every two seconds), and the Basin's page sets out how the ticks and the cost behave:
At level 20 a Prayer that is actually healing someone costs 4.56 mana a second and stops your own mana regeneration; the tooltip's number is the idle cost.
The Basin's page adds that the Combat Desert Mercenary also supplies Prayer, and that +1–3 Prayer can spawn on low-level Paladin scepters.
Prayer has no dsc3 synergy lines and no …SymPerCalc column: nothing feeds it. It feeds three skills:
hitpoints at skill('Prayer'.edns)): either aura heals exactly what your Prayer would, at Prayer's level, while it is the active aura. The Basin writes that line as Prayer.lvl, so it follows Prayer's level, not only its hard points.blvl).Prayer's own lines read lvl, so a +skill from gear raises the heal, the radius and the cost exactly as a hard point does; only the Holy Bolt synergy wants hard points.
Prayer deals no damage and is applied only to you and your party, so the player-versus-player rule has nothing to act on; see Player versus Player.
