Changes a thrown javelin into a powerful bolt of lightning that splits on impact.
Lightning Fury is a level 30 Amazon throw (Javelin and Spear tree, requires Plague Javelin; it unlocks nothing). The thrown javelin carries a lightning charge and, when it strikes or expires, releases bolts of lightning at every enemy nearby, each bolt carrying the same charge and flying on through what it hits. The numbers that decide it are the charge, 1–580 at level 20, and the bolt count, 21 at level 20.

ln12: Param1 is the baseline of 2 and Param2 adds 1 a level, so 2 at level 1, 6 at 5, 11 at 10, 21 at 20, 31 at 30. The Basin's page writes the bolts actually released as min(1 + slvl, targets).jave), the javelin carries 100% of weapon damage (SrcDam 128) and nothing is converted. There is no ToHit column. The damage and bolt lines read lvl; the synergy reads blvl.
The throw launches the lightningfury missile. By the Basin's page the javelin needs no hit check and so always hits, but it can be blocked (Blocking); it deals the weapon's physical damage under Dealing Physical Damage plus the lightning charge, and its range is beyond the edge of the screen. When it strikes a target, or expires, bolts are released from that point at the targets within 10 yards, one bolt per target unless there are more bolts than targets: the Basin's example is a level 1 throw releasing two bolts among forty targets. Bolts released on expiry are invisible but otherwise the same.
The bolts are not destroyed on collision: by the Basin's page they pierce, normally damaging every target they pass through until they expire or are obstructed, so several bolts can strike one target, the javelin's own target included. Each bolt's charge is lightning against Lightning Resist under Dealing Elemental Damage.
The javelin itself pierces by Pierce and Piercing Attack, and each collision releases a fresh set of bolts; the Basin's page shows a javelin blocked by its second target still piercing it and releasing bolts on each of three collisions, and gives the extreme: a level 39 throw piercing four targets among forty releases 200 bolts.
The Basin's page lists +3 to Lightning Fury on the Thundergod's Vigor war belt.
Four synergy lines, each +1% lightning damage per level: Power Strike, Lightning Bolt, Charged Strike and Lightning Strike (EDmgSymPerCalc, Param8 1, all read as hard points); the Basin's page says they raise the maximum only, the minimum stays at 1. Lightning Fury's own hard points feed one skill, Lightning Bolt, at 3% each; the pages of Power Strike, Charged Strike and Lightning Strike record that it fed them too in the 1.10–1.13 game, and the current rows no longer name it. +skills from items raise the maximum and the bolt count, not the synergy terms.
A player's hit on another player is cut to 17% of its value (difficultylevels.txt PlayerDamagePercentVSPlayer) before anything else, see Player versus Player; the javelin and each bolt are separate hits, each cut on its own and each then meeting the other player's lightning resistance. The Basin's page says nothing more about this skill against players.
